What We Do

Some of our educational activities have been and are as follows:  Speaking to schools, church groups, community organizations, etc.; placing books and pamphlets in municipal libraries and in high school libraries, guidance and health departments, providing material for high school, nursing school and universtiy projects; setting up fair booth displays; advertising pro-life facts on billboards, radio and T.V.; writing and presenting briefs to various commissions; sending letters to editors of newspapers; being interviewed on radio and T.V. talk shows; showing videos "The Silent Scream" and "Feel the Heartbeat" on CKNX T.V.; sponsoring various speakers for the public; writing news items for all the local papers; writing pro-life articles in church bulletins; entering floats with pro-life messages in a number of parades; organizing walk-a-thons and getting excellent media and public attention; financially supporting Alliance for Life Canada, Alliance for Life Ontario, both of which are umbrella groups for satellite organizations such as ours; sending delegates to nationwide and local pro-life conferences; organizing many fund raising projects (e.g. garage sales, dances, walk-a-thons, cook book sales. etc.) to pay for the above.  Space does not allow for us to mention everything.

Politically, we send letters to editors and politicians; organize and present petitions to government; lobby members of parliament locally, as well as at the provincial and national levels; take part in pro-life marches at Queen's Park, Toronto, Parliament Buildings in Ottawa and at abortion clinics in Toronto; financially support Campaign Life Coalition; promote pro-life candidates during election; support Family Coalition Party of Ontario and the Christian Heritage Party of Canada.  We also participate in the local Life Chain event annually held on the first Sunday of October.

From a practical standpoint, we have instigated the founding of Birthright in Wingham; advertised for Birthright in newspapers, on raido and television, as well as notifiying all doctors in Huron, Bruce and Grey Counties of Birthright services; paid for and continue to financially support the Mount Forest Crisis Pregnancy Centre (currently called Ramoth House), newspaper and television ads; loan our fetal models to the Crisis Pregnancy centre, support Bev Hadland's "Straight Talk", a counselling centre in Toronto. Lastly, we encourage eachother and promote our cause by holding an annual dinner which has taken place every year since 1975.  We look forward to our 40th annual dinner in April 2014.

We have made an impact.  We know of babies whose lives have been saved because of our efforts.  For that, we praise and thank God and implore His aid and the aid of His people to continuing our work on behalf of all members of the human family whose lives are in peril.
